![]() ![]() ![]() I'll try to do a screencast, but please try and be patient,it's not my forte,so i'll need some time. In any case, the goal here is to make your environment as efficient as possible so you can concentrate on the music, and studying how many keystrokes and mouse moves we make on a daily basis made me wonder how to speed things up a bit.Īlso,i'd like to extend a thanks to Charlie Clouser for bringing up teleport,as it was a big aha moment for me,and a big boon to my workflow,so maybe all this is my way of paying it forward. I might add that i looked into also automating a one touch button script so i could simply touch a button on the lemur and logic would -1 select the track,2-start playing,3-play the artic from lemur,4-record it into logic then 5-stop playback.but it got a bit complicated to toggle this all on/off globally,so I've shelved the idea for the moment. And,sometimes, you park yourself on an instrument in the heat of writing, and need to mess around with what it offers you sound wise before you decide on which articulation you want to start with anyways.i think though, that if you saw that script in action it would be more cool than me just talking about it. if i touch that i can switch to any other string instrument.so I can have all of them taking up the same screen real estate, just one instrument is visible at a time. But it gives you the rest of the screen,in my case most of the ipad screen to populate with the articulation buttons which trigger midi notes and have the articulation name on it as well as midi note. In lemur, there is the ability to have tabbed bins which are selectable by menu.the bin itself is not visible(user option). If you look up at my partial lemur screen, you see the menus on the top right, the menu button that says bass9. I also wanted to mention an app called UI browser which looks real interesting as it will allow me to get into the Logic menus and applescript window selections.one that comes to mind is the option to turn on/off sending out MTC.There is a shortcut entry to select MMC on/off,but strangely not one for toggling MTC on/off.I slave PT from my Logic rig(very fast lockup and reasonably robust)-but I'm consantly toggling movie playback(hosted in PT) on/off and would really like a button in front of me to do that.I guess as I wind up my current commitments,I'll do a spring cleaning and that'll def be on the plate. I can't say how many times I'm parked on the wrong track, fiddling around on the articulation pages, realizing I've just played it into the wrong track in Logic Pro. I'm just trying to find ways to shorten keystrokes I use everyday.Seems I select tracks about 50 times per a day each,so that's alot of reduced keystrokes,on a 30 inch monitor.I figure the scrolling on my kengsington mouse is wearing out,and it's so inefficient.
